[patch] Parallel Howto Chapter

Here's an updated version of the parallel howto chapter for the 
tutorial.  I've tried to incorporate feedback from the first draft. 
It's possible I've missed some things, please don't hesitate to let me know!

Also, I've also filled in the missing figures.  These will need revision 
because some of the performance results don't completely make sense to 
me, in particular the phased vs interleaved performance.
