I still fail to see any compelling reason to drop support for python
not as recent as version 2.5. (And there are a lot of distributions that
only contain python 2.3 or 2.4 by default).
We haven't yet discussed any new features that would require a break up
with older python versions. Cleanup in itself, though certainly valuable,
doesn't count.
