matching file contents

I just created a demo test, and have the context pointing at a file. The 
file contains one string: 'test'

I then created a testcase that checks for the contents of 'test'. 
However, the test fails everytime, saying: "Contents do not match 
expected contents.

Any ideas what I did wrong? Do I need to enclose the string inside 
quotes or something?
