QMTest 2.1 Prerelease 1 Available

The first prerelease version of QMTest 2.1 is now available from:

http://www.codesourcery.com/qm/qmtest_downloads/qm-2.1.0-20031123

There are distributions in source form, as RPMs for Red Hat 8.x and
above, and as a Windows installer.

This is an alpha release; we believe that this version of QMTest will be
useful, but these releases have certainly not received as much use as
QMTest 2.0.3.

One of the major changes in QMTest 2.1 is the use of Python's
"distutils" packaging system.  Therefore, it's certainly possible that
there are problems with the packaging.  Please post problems with the
packaging -- or other problems you find in using the packages -- to this
mailing list.

Distutils puts "data files" in "/usr/qm" when building an RPM, which is
not what the LSB recommends, if I understand it correctly.  However,
there does not appear to be any easy way tho change that to
"/usr/share/qm" (or "/opt/qm/share").  Does anyone know if that will be
fixed in a future version of distutils?
