QMTest will certainly work on AIX; we have used it there in the past.  

The only challenge is in getting Python built correctly (including
things like the zlib module).  If you configure Python to build all the
modules, QMTest shoujld work fine.

We don't presently have an AIX machine, so I'm not sure exactly how best
to help, though.
