problems running qmtest

I'm having this problem when trying to run qmtest:

[rschutt at hogwarts-pc test]$ ../../qmtest/bin/qmtest gui
qmtest: error: The extension class 'qm.test.xmldb.Database' could not be
               found.  You may need to set the 'QMTEST_CLASS_PATH'
environment
               variable.

I've tried adding the obvious directories to my $QMTEST_CLASS_PATH, but it
still doesn't work.  Anyone know what's going on?
