OK - it's not quite the answer I was hoping for, but it's good to have
an answer anyway!
I note that P&E's development kit supports the debugger (not surprising,
really). I don't know if that support is only with their own debugger
software, or with gdb - they certainly supply gcc as the compiler
toolchain, but I don't know about gdb. If they support gdb, then that
may be a way to get your gdb builds working with their debugger - and it
might give you starting point for supporting the debugger.
Once we have the debugger and an evaluation board, I'll be trying out
various toolchains (CodeWarrior, Code Sourcery gcc, and P&E's
development bundle). This could mean I'll have to use a different
debugger, such as P&E's or CodeWarrior, while testing the Code Sourcery
gcc - I'm sure I'll get something working.
I'll post a comment here when (if!) I've got things working, in the hope
that it helps CodeSourcery (or other CodeSourcery users) get your tools
working with this debugger.
mvh.,
David
