I downloaded the version I'm using from the Pooma web-page at LANL:
www.acl.lanl.gov/pooma/download.html
<http://www.acl.lanl.gov/pooma/download.html>
There were a couple of minor patches necessary to get it to work with
shared-memory on Linux. We should definitely contact them to find
out what the current status of the project is as far as support goes.
Pooma, Smarts and Cheetah are the only packages we should need
for the contract work. Other packages that might get used with
Pooma codes, like ULM and the viz framework are definitely under
active development at the lab.

Actually, LANL is allegedly still developing Cheetah, so it isn't clear that
we want to just swipe the CVS repository. Is Craig in charge of this? It
would make sense to move the repository outside if they don't have a problem
with it. On the other hand, they may not want their CVS repository to be at
pooma.codesourcery.com.
