m68k-elf-sprite *IPSBAR read won't work

I created a board/Arcturus.xml for a uc5282 (attached) working for a 32 
bit SDRAM and sram
but m68-elf-sprite[gdb] can't read the H/W registers relative to 
IPSBAR...with or
without the <!-- ISPBAR --> memory write...
Suggestions?
